How does a home visit dental appointment work?
We send a qualified dentist and dental nurse directly to your home, care home, or supported living facility. They bring all the equipment needed — including a portable dental chair, examination tools, X-ray equipment if needed, and treatment materials. The visit typically lasts 60–90 minutes depending on what’s required. We cover Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Stockport, Bury, Rochdale, and surrounding areas.
What treatments can you carry out at home?
We provide a full range of dental treatments at your home including: dental check-ups, scale and polish (hygiene), tooth extractions, fillings, crown re-cementation, dentures (new, repair, reline, additions), emergency dental care, and oral health assessments. Some complex procedures may still need to be done at a surgery, and we’ll advise you if that’s the case.
How much does a home visit dentist cost?
There is a £350 home visit fee for every appointment, which covers travel, time, and the clinical visit. Treatment fees are added on top — for example, an extraction is £210, a filling is £210, and a check-up is £99. New dentures start from £1,500 all-inclusive for one arch. Who is this service suitable for?
Our home visit service is ideal for: elderly or housebound patients, people with disabilities or mobility issues, those with severe dental anxiety, care home and nursing home residents, patients recovering from illness or surgery, and anyone who finds it difficult to travel to a dental surgery. We are CQC-registered and GDC-registered, providing the same standard of care you’d receive in a surgery.
How quickly can you visit?
For routine appointments we typically visit within 2–5 working days. For urgent or emergency cases we aim to visit within 24–48 hours — same-day visits may be available depending on availability (a £100 urgency surcharge applies). Call us on 0161 791 5796 to discuss urgent needs.
Are you registered and regulated?
Yes. We are a CQC-registered dental provider and all our clinicians are registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). Our service operates to the same clinical and safety standards as any registered dental practice. We carry full indemnity insurance and comply with all NHS/CQC requirements for home dental services.
Do you visit care homes and nursing homes?
Yes — we have extensive experience visiting care homes across Greater Manchester. We can provide individual resident appointments or block clinics where we see multiple residents in one visit. We also provide oral health training for care home staff. Contact us to arrange a care home dental plan.
